Mindful Trim ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Ojas mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: your email address and a hashed (never plain-text) password when you register.
• Profile information: optional display name, gender, preferred tone, and a profile photo you choose to upload.
• Wellness data: the daily exercises you complete, the pillar you align with each day, mood scores, your XP, level, and streak history.
• Notification preferences: the time you schedule your daily reminder (stored locally on your device; not sent to our servers).
• Feedback: star rating, category, and any message text you voluntarily submit via the in-app feedback form.
• Session data: a session token stored in a secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you logged in.

We do not collect location data, contacts, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers, or any financial information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
• To calculate and store your wellness progress (XP, level, milestones, daily logs).
• To personalise exercise recommendations based on your stated preferences.
• To send you a daily reminder notification at the time you configure (device-level only; we do not send push notifications through any third-party advertising or analytics service).
• To respond to feedback and improve the App.

3. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile → Delete Account option in the App. Upon deletion all records are removed from our database within 24 hours.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Hosting infrastructure: Our servers run on Replit, Inc., which provides the computing environment. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted within that environment.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process.

5. Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. Session cookies are HTTP-only and are transmitted over HTTPS in production. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (available through your profile screen).
• Correct inaccurate data (via Edit Profile in the App).
• Delete your account and all associated data (via Profile → Delete Account, or by contacting us).
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
